We operate as an externally managed, closed-end, non-diversified management investment company and have elected to be treated as a business development company (BDC) under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended (the 1940 Act). Our common stock is traded on The Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol GAIN. The last reported sale price for our common stock on , was $ per share. The net asset value of our common shares at the close of business on , 201 was $ per share. There currently is no market for the preferred stock. We applied to list the preferred stock on [ ].
